Theater of Miniatures under the direction of Evgeny Petrosyan

With time, more artists started to be invited to join performances. Stepanenko was admitted to the Theater of Miniatures under the direction of E. Petrosyan, having passed a difficult competition. Many young artists participated in this difficult competition, but E. Stepanenko won unconditionally, demonstrating her unique talent as a comic actress. Entering the troupe, she played leading roles in all the theater performances. In the play named “Family Joys”, Elena Stepanenko and Evgeniy Petrosyan were performing on totally equal terms. Whatever Petrosyan talks about, whatever topic he highlights in his programs, kindness - the main human quality of the artist, comes through from everywhere, because he knows how to tell a person the brutal truth without humiliating human dignity. While exposing the lack of spirituality in its various manifestations in his plays, he still sees a warm spark of hope even in the most desperate situations. Another quality which makes one a true artist - together with his fellow colleagues he is able to find new artistic techniques and highlight fresh topics on the stage, and after that, others begin to follow. Shakespeare's idea that a joke often becomes a prediction was confirmed more than once in the work of the artist, who foresaw many phenomena and events that took place in society. And often the word of humor sounded like a warning after all. Petrosyan's laughter is kind one. Even when he laughs through tears, when he talks about serious problems or scathingly makes fun of something in human nature, his laughter is still good. The audience often notes this quality of artist, saying that the art should serve to good and when it does not - it’s not the art. All great humorists have been as well - great humanists. Petrosyan's laughter makes him not only a true professional, but also an artist-citizen, which means a great artist. The way Evgeniy Petrosyan always performs on stage with lightness and ease sometimes misleads the audience, so they would think it’s so easy - to perform like he does.But anyone who even briefly knows behind-the-scenes side of this “easy” business would realize really quick that it was not so easy to make an entire hall of audience consisting from various ages and professions laugh. Yevgeny Petrosyan manages to achieve real great success. But all his fellow colleagues who share this success with him know perfectly what a huge amount of work is behind it.They also know that any author can bring a very raw, incomplete material, not even yet funny - and Petrosyal will be able to find a core to create the play that would most possibly make laugh the whole country later. Although Petrosyan has been on stage for many years, he is still the same energetic, young, funny and formidable, touching and true - yes, true. He is faithful to the cause, which he considers the meaning of his life, faithful to the theater where he was born as an Artist, faithful to the precepts of his great teachers. Nowadays everyone calls him the Master. Behind this well-deserved title is the stage culture of the Artist, his civic conviction, social vigilance, courage and loyalty - to himself and his art. In one of Petrosyan's performances there are the following words: “Our happiness is that we find the strength in ourselves to laugh and make each other laugh through tears, which I try to do with my characters in my play“ Land of Limonia, Village of Petrosyaniya ”. Do not look for this village on the world map, because it’s in my medical record, here, in the area of my heart. These words explain everything.
